Dear Reader,
In a few months, a vast majority of the population will have been vaccinated against the Coronavirus. Whilst we wait for our turn to come up, I thought it is important for folks to understand the options they have (with regards to vaccines). To get a better understanding of the vaccine options available in your area, access the COVID19 Vaccines Flash Cards (PDF).
However, it is important to understand what the efficacy of a vaccine actually means - something that is grossly misunderstood. I’ve included a must-watch video below.
Stay safe. Stay healthy.

When I first heard of Deep Nostalgia, I did not know I would be blown away. Simply put, upload an old photograph of someone - and it injects life into the person in the picture, i.e. animate the person in the picture.
This is close to what Reddit calls BlackMagicF**kery!
The science behind it is heavy and complex, involving deep-learning and artificial intelligence, etc. The results - downright amazing to scary.
Bring the dead alive.

Starting a new business? Getting ready to write that dreaded business plan? Hold on. There is a very important methodology that you must look into. Before you roll your eyes, let me tell you, it is one page with nine sections that can change the way you think about business plans and will forever serve as your compass. It keeps you focused and is super simple to use.
Lean Canvas was developed by Lean Stack.
Qu'est-ce que c'est?* It can best be explained from the Lean Stack website itself:
Capture your business model on a lean canvas. Communicate your idea clearly and concisely. Make sure that others understand your idea clearly so they can get behind it.
Business plans take too long to write, are seldom updated, and almost never read by others but documenting your hypotheses is key.
Lean Canvas solves this problem using a 1-page business model that takes under 20 minutes to create.
You can watch this short 10-minute video on how to use the canvas.
Download the PNG image version of the Lean Canvas from here. You can also access the editable version of a Google Doc file (feel free to make a copy and save it).

Are you a believer or a non-believer?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you must have heard about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies by now. Bitcoin just happens to be one of the over 8,000+ cryptocurrencies (the majority of them are junk, but 200-300 of them are pretty solid).
Everyone knows about it, but a few actually know how to buy it, stake it, invest it, trade with it, send/receive payments in it, etc. Non-technical folks like your mom, your dad, brother, sister, daughter, uncle, aunt, grandmother, nephew, friend, school teacher, etc.
So here is my question…
Would you like me to teach you in very simple words, all you need to know to learn about crypto and cryptocurrencies?
What to buy? What to avoid? What to watch? How to get started? How to avoid scams? How to avoid fraud? How to safeguard your money?

Mind Puzzle for this week.
Mind Puzzle for this week.
Long, long ago in a kingdom far, far away, there was a king who didn’t allow anybody to leave his empire and didn’t let any foreigners in. There was only one bridge that connected his kingdom with the outside world. Royal orders stated that anyone moving outside should be killed. And anyone coming into his kingdom should be sent back.
To take a rest, the guard sits inside his hut for 5 minutes and returns back to the lookout. It takes 8 minutes to pass the bridge.
Only one woman managed to escape. HOW?
Answer at the very end of this email.
Sometimes we need a very summarized reminder of how we can change our behavior when it comes to money and investing. Micro lessons learned every day can reprogram us to think better, make more informed decisions.
I very rarely recommend channels on Instagram, but I cannot help but like and recommend this channel: businessunions
Before you go and absorb everything the person posts, do take it with a pinch of salt. Not everything is applicable to you and sometimes, he/she does post garbage (in the case of Dan Bilzerian, but that’s a story for another day)
Overall, a nice daily dose of path correction.
CRIMINAL - An Original Netflix TV Series
CRIMINAL - An Original Netflix TV Series
Every now and then, you will come across a series that is uber simple in set design and concept, yet super entertaining. CRIMINAL is one such series. I highly recommend watching it. Literally 3-4 episodes per region and one season for all countries except the UK which has two seasons out.
Filmed literally in two rooms and a hallway with a staircase.

The whole show is based on the concept of interrogating a person of interest in a room whilst behind a mirror/glass, there are the officers piecing together the issue from a psychological point of view.
CRIMINAL was produced simultaneously and released for four countries:
All the shows have the same set, just a different language and all are equally intriguing. It can be watched on Netflix.
The theremin is a very unique electronic musical instrument, one that you play, without touching it. Yes, you read that right. It has these two odd-looking antennas, that react to the proximity of your hand and how you move it around the antenna, and weird sounds come out of it.
Here are two great demonstration of the instrument:

Earlier this week I had tweeted about a quote I saw in a series. The quote was:
And forget about sentences that start with "if."
And forget about sentences that start with "if."
Many asked me which series? The series is a Finnish series called Deadwind and this particular quote happens in Season 1, Episode 11, at the 36-minute mark.
When the guard was inside the hut, the woman started her walk across the bridge. She walked for 5 minutes while he was inside, and then turned and moved back toward the kingdom. When approaching the kingdom she was asked for papers. And since she didn’t have any, she wasn’t allowed in.
You might want to read this thread on Reddit on what to do when you move to a new city? Not all may apply, as it is US concentric, but some juxtapose-able gold in there.

Digital Sanctum: For 30 plus years, I've been thinking of launching a newsletter, a mailing list of sorts. Over the years, I've collected and curated over 125,000+ web links. Information/stuff that I find worthy to share. This is my newsletter to share all that. Its not focused on any 'one' thing and it is not associated with my professional field of banking and payments. It is a weekly read that has information that one would consider fun, interesting, etc. to read. I hope you subscribe and come along for the ride.
